Diagnostics of the Vascular System

Vascular diagnostics includes precise examination methods for the detection of arterial and venous diseases.

Duplex Ultrasound of the Arteries and Veins of the Extremities

Duplex ultrasound is an imaging technique that allows for the examination of blood vessels in the extremities. It combines two-dimensional imaging with Doppler assessment to analyze both the structure of the vessels and the blood flow. This enables the precise diagnosis of vessel narrowing, occlusions, or thromboses.

Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening

Screening for an abdominal aortic aneurysm is used for the early detection of dangerous dilations of the abdominal aorta. Ultrasound allows these enlargements to be identified at an early stage, before they become life-threatening. This examination is particularly recommended for at-risk patients, such as smokers or those with a family history of the condition.

Duplex Ultrasound of the Abdominal and Pelvic Vessels

Duplex ultrasound of the abdominal and pelvic vessels allows for the assessment of circulatory disorders and vascular changes in these areas. This method provides important information about the condition of arteries and veins, which is crucial for the blood supply to the abdominal organs.

Duplex Ultrasound of the Carotid Artery

Duplex ultrasound examination of the carotid artery allows for the early detection of vessel narrowing or plaques. These changes can increase the risk of stroke. Regular monitoring is particularly important for patients with known risk factors.

VVP und LRR

Venous occlusion plethysmography (VVP) and photoplethysmography (LRR) are diagnostic methods used to assess venous function and venous return. These techniques are particularly helpful in evaluating venous disorders, such as chronic venous insufficiency or varicose veins.

Diagnosis of Lipedema and Lymphedema

Venous occlusion plethysmography (VVP) and light reflection rheography (LRR) are diagnostic techniques used to assess venous function and venous return. These methods are particularly valuable in evaluating venous disorders, such as chronic venous insufficiency or varicose veins.

Therapy

Vascular diagnostics includes precise examination methods for the detection of circulatory disorders and vascular diseases.

Open Treatment of Varicose Veins

Stripping is a traditional surgical method for removing diseased veins. In this procedure, the affected vein is pulled out through small incisions. In addition, side branches affected by varicose veins can be surgically removed. This technique is effective and is typically used in cases with pronounced venous disease.

Minimally Invasive Treatment of Varicose Veins and Skin Tightening (Laser)

Endovenous procedures, such as radiofrequency ablation (EVRF) or laser therapy (EVLT), are modern, minimally invasive treatments for varicose veins. In these techniques, the affected vein is closed from the inside using heat. These methods are almost painless, do not require large incisions, and allow for a quick return to daily activities. Laser techniques are also used for skin tightening.

Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy is a well-established method for treating spider veins and smaller varicose veins. A special sclerosing agent is injected into the affected vein, causing it to close and be gradually absorbed by the body. The procedure is minimally invasive and almost painless.
